Let me tell you about my wife and baskets. My wife loves baskets. You could call her a basket fanatic; well maybe basket cognisor would be nicer. She uses baskets for everything from decorations to storage.
Did you know that baskets are not only handy to have around but in the great scheme of things are quite inexpensive and they last a lifetime?
Baskets have been around forever. In the bible Moses as a baby was put in a floating basket to keep him from being killed. We know in London from the show my fair lady they carried flowers and other things they sold on the streets in baskets. Maybe you have some memories of baskets when you were young. I remember the basket that we collected eggs in on my uncle’s farm.
Picnic baskets have been a tradition from ages past. They can be used for family fun to a romantic getaway for two. I remember when my wife and I were first married we rarely had time off together it seemed but when we did we would have a picnic no matter what the weather was we could have a picnic inside or out. We found these times relaxing and memorable a great time to visit over some fun food. What a great way to enjoy a meal!
Now one of the best ways to tell someone you care is send them a gift basket. There is just something exciting about having a gift basket delivered to and presented to you at your door. It certainly helps you feel loved and cared for by friends and family.
We do relief for parents by keeping their children at our house, so we make sure we have lots of different toys. Guess what we have the toys in? Yep you guessed it baskets, lots of different baskets. You know what the kids enjoy playing with, the baskets, putting their toys in and out of the baskets seems to keep them occupied for hours.
How many different ways do you enjoy baskets?
